Mint Bridge plans unveiled

A Supermarket chain looks set to occupy Kendal Rugby Club’s old ground when the team moves from Mintsfeet Industrial estate to a new site near Oxenholme.

Developers unveiled the first outline impression of what will become of Mint Bridge this week, which included plans for a food store and separate DIY and garden centre units  at the site off Shap Road.

Architectural plans for both sites went on public display in the Kendal RUFC clubhouse this week, drawing a mixed response.

The Mint Bridge site has been home of Kendal FC rugby club since 1925
