A Cumbrian man involved in multiple counts of shoplifting has been jailed today.
Colin Eaves, 31, of Longland Road, Bowness on Windermere, was sentenced today following a succession of shoplifting offences.
On Monday, 17th April 2017, Eaves stole over £300 pounds worth of tobacco from 3 stores in Kendal.
After being positively identified by a police officer from CCTV, Eaves was arrested at his home address where several stolen pouches of tobacco were recovered.
Eaves entered a guilty plea today at Furness and District Magistrates court, and was sentenced to 22 weeks in prison.
DC Tom Breakell said,
“This investigation was an effective team effort which has led to the successful conviction of a repeat offender, Eaves now has time to reflect on his behaviour in a custodial setting”.
